WITHIN TEMPTATION - Black Symphony
Bolo len otázkou času, kedy holandksý WITHIN TEMPTATION dajú dohromady DVD s orchestrom. Muzikanti ale vedeli, že takéto DVD by nebolo ničím novým, a preto sa snažili vymyslieť, čím svoju dosku od ostatných odlíšiť. Nielen, že pritiahly na pódium celý metropolitný orchester - 60 členov spoločne so speváckym zborom Pa´dam Choir, ale na svoje si prišlo aj teatrálne umenie. Na scéne, vyšperkovanej obrovskou obrazovkou, sa tak v jedenom momente zišla viac než stovka ľudí vrátane skupiny. Pohodlňe sa usaďte, pretože obsah koncertného balíčka sa oplatí preskúmať.
Koncert v Ahoy Arena bol zachytený na prvom disku. Aj keď bolo z frontwoman Sharon den Adel spočiatku cítiť neistotu, veľmi rýchlo sa jej podarilo zžiť sa s publikom a tisícový dav pod sebou strhnúť. Tie isté pocity zažíva divák pri obrazovke. Už od prvého momentu ho obraz a hudba vtiahnu do víru a na dobré dve hodiny nepustia. Koncertný set je propretkany sériou pomalších skladieb, z ktorých v pamäti najviac utkvie "Somewhere". K Within Temptation sa po niekoľkých úvodných taktoch totiž pridala Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering) a cez obrazovku začali prechádzať pramienky emócií. Baladickú vložku uzavrela "Memories", ktorú muzikanti prearanžovali a k divákovi sa dostala len pätina z pôvodného feelingu. Za vrchol celého DVD sa pokojne môže pokladať skladba "Angels", kedy na scénu nakráčali štyri postavy v bielych kostýmoch s krídlami.
Druhé DVD najprv prehrávaču podstrčí bonusový koncert. Samozrejme nie je natoľko veľkolepý ako predchádzajúca show ale ako bonusový materiál bohato stačí. Divák však možno viac ocení videoklipy k skladbám "What Have You Done", "Frozen", "The Howling" a "All I Need". Možnosť nahliednuť na prípravy niektorých z týchto snímkov a vypočuť si dojmy muzikantov zo svetového turné si však vychutnajú najmä skalný fanúšikovia. Všetci ale iste privítajú kvlaitný zvukový záznam v DD 2.0, 5.1 či v DTS Surround 24/96 a anglické titulky.
Na tento koncertný balíček sa len tak nezabúda. Celý záznam je vyvážený a donúti diváka dívať sa na set až do konca. Od obrazovky sa proste neodtrhnete, fascinovane budete na obrazovku pozerať s vytreštenými očami a návštevu záchoda na pár hodín odložíte. Vďaka nespočetným svetelným efektom, šlahajúcim plameňom a ďalším pyrotechnyckým efektom vám bude behať mráz po chrbte. Ortodoxní fanúšikovia skupiny by asi tejto nahrávky dali 10/10 bodov ale keďže členovia kapely majú pred sebou ešte dlhú budúcnosť a tým pádom aj možnosť prísť s niečim novým, jeden bod im vezmem.
